Okay this is my 2nd question of the day... Im new to studio lighting and thinking of adding a third light to my setup. I havent really done a proper "photoshoot" yet with my existing setup apart from making the GF pose evry now n then for testing :)

So I have..
1) Flashpoint 320m
2) 430EX II

Im currently confused between the YN460 II and the YN468. Do you think I really need ETTL? the third flash would probably just be used to light the background or as a hair light. Even now Im using the 430EX in manual mode so I doubt I'll be using the 3rd light in ETTL.

Another reason for investing in a third flash is so I can shoot with 2 lighs outdoors (dont own the 320m battery pack yet)

So I guess I already know the answer here, but would like to listen to your opinions.

PS: yesterday took the 430ex for some outdoor OFC and got some pretty decent results :)

there are some members here who use ettl off cam and some full manual. I personally use manual when using off cam flash, this way you'll have better control of the lights.

Yep, I'm with jeromego. When you buy a ttl flash, make sure it has full manual control as well.

Since I don't own a YN460II, I just did a online search and it looks like a manual flash has no e-ttl function. If you want e-ttl function, you may want to look into different models.
