This has been rattling around in my head for a number of days now and I just need to get it out.

As you may have noticed I’ve been very absent of late. Part of this is due to how busy I have been with my seniors and the biggest part is an issue that popped up on Facebook.

I discovered that one of the folks in here had unfriended me and, when I noticed this, I sent the person a message and was told that I was let go due to my supposed penchant for causing drama in the thread.

While I totally respect the person’s opinion and right to unfriend me, I will honestly say I was rather hurt by it.

So, I took a break. It was ok I guess. I needed more time....I got more time....but I missed you guys. I missed chatting with you and I missed having TPBM be a part of my life.

The other day I discovered that in addition to the original person, I was also dropped by two others on Facebook. Very ouch.

So, I can take a hint. I’m weary of fighting to be a part of this thread when I am so clearly not wanted by several. I’m weary of being accused of causing drama. I’m weary of having to guard myself and suppress my inner freak because I might offend someone. I’m so over being thought of as unethical and icky. I’m just tired of putting so much in and not getting much out.

So, this is my official goodbye. I’ve been very honored to get to know some of you and truly miss having you as part of my daily routine.

And, well, the next thread can be titled the Fafa free (FINALLY!!! WOOHOO!!) TPBM chat thread.

I encourage those of you who care to keep in touch with me on facebook as lord knows I’m a junkie there.

And, if you are sick of me, feel free to unfriend me and/or put me on ignore in case you see me out in the POTN world....can’t hurt anymore than I already do. And to those who unfriended me already, please don’t PM me or contact me in any way. I don’t want you to feel like you should apologize or anything and honestly, I don’t want to hear from you.

Thank you so much for being a part of my life for so long. You will be missed. I wish you all the best.....sending healing vibes to Zane and Deb and much health and happiness to them and the rest of you as well!

If it was I that unfriended you on face book it's because I don't know how to drive it

I think you should reconsider what you are doing. The world is a big and diverse place and made up of all sorts of people, I would never give up something that I obviously enjoy because of an issue that is not only beyond my control but also, in the larger scheme of things, unimportant.

The WWW is strange social phenomenon in that it gives people the opportunity to meet and interact with people that they would never come across in the real world, I am too thick skinned to notice any undercurrents or drama, or possibly they were not there in the first place, either way why should you stop doing something you so obviously enjoy doing and by the same token prevent people from getting their joy from their interaction with you because you feel slighted.

This is a pretty special place and to my thinking that is partly fueled by the tolerance that I think exists here. There may be the odd issue, but nothing that can not be worked through, I made the mistake of meeting Tom in the UK recently, and I know that it is going to now take several years to repair the damage that has done to our "on line" relationship

Any Cokin filter users out there? I just pressed send on their GND set along with the .9ND as well. A bit leery about the filters but the price is just too good to pass up.

I'm really going to miss this place but I can't keep up anymore and I am just tired of having to be careful what I post for the risk of offending someone.

It's not a decision I reached lightly and it's not without its pain but I can't, for my own mental health, keep having to guard who I am because of the risk of offending someone. There are many in here with super thick skin but there are those without and I'm tired of the backlash.....there have been so many little incidents over the last year and I'm just tired of waiting for the next one to pop up.

I just can't anymore even though it kills me to lose out on so many of you. I wasn't trying to get attention or anything with my post (because I know there are some that will/are thinking that's why I did it). I just wanted to say my goodbye and wish people well.

How do you know when you're unfriended on fb? I know I unfriended a couple of people just cause I see them on here. And really I'm doing them a favor as they already see my stupid comments on POTN, no need to clutter up their walls with Chet dribble.
