I have not deleted you, well not lately:p I hope you are happy wherever you are. Don't leave on my account though. In an effort to avoid drama I am PMing you but I also did not want folk her to think I am dismissing you so I will PM.
Just got a call from my airman son. Looks like the AF has blessed him with a 4 day pass over the 4th. Gonna be good to see him again. It's been some time.
Woot! That's nice.
That was quite the fanfare! Much deserved too! YAY! Thanks for taking the midnight watch, Glow Boy!
Remember the 26 pups from AZ that we rescued? Because we didnt' know how many were male or female, while we were driving we took each letter of the alphabet, and wrote down a boy and girl name for each.
Then when we got home, and we were vaccinating the pups, they each got a name as well, going down the alphabet.
(stay with me, there is a purpose to this story)
One of our local shelters took 18 pups.
One of the other rescues took 5.
That left us with 3.
Sadly, one of the pups died a few days ago.
The 2 pups that we have right now are
Terri and Stevie.
Awww, that's cute
Edited.
Missed it!
Our newest foster. She's been here a few days.

Wow! Did he arrest the dood who attack you?!?!?
G'mae! I'm here for just a min... my work day is over so I'm off! WOOT! Took me 4 hours of working to catch up here!
Later gaters!
No, not so much. Later, when he realized I was more on his side than the a$$ I hosed, he put himself down as the complainant rather than the guy. That way the guy couldn't,t come after me. Then they dropped the case and released me. Gotta love old D.C. way of doing stuff.

A few thoughts about Tiffany's post......
1. I hope she reconsiders, but I am in total sympathy to the feelings of being unwanted. There are times when TPBM draws into itself and becomes a very small community. That's okay; some of you have formed a very tight bond, and can't be expected to act differently. There are some of us who recognize that we simply don't have the ability to crack the inner circle, and we're fine with it.
2. To the best of my knowledge, there is only one person who posts here regularly who genuinely dislikes me. I once considered leaving the thread because of that individual, but ultimately decided that there are enough genuine friends here who would not understand that logic. So here I am, and so shall I remain. Hopefully someday this person and I will work out our differences, and things will be peachy again. In the meantime, we give each other lots of room, and try not to make things worse. I would hope FaFa and whomever could find it in their hearts to do the same.
3. This is the TPBM chat thread, but in reality, it is a safe haven for people who seemingly don't have a lot of interest in discussing photography to the excusion of everything else. I see people talking about all sorts of things: dogs, horses, illnesses, injuries, travel, social injustice, romance, divorce, grandchildren, food, movies, trains, and occasionally, photography. Subject to constraints on discussion that have been imposed by the forum, there are no limits on what we can talk about here. I suppose that leaves me a little puzzled about what constitutes unacceptable subject matter, and what doesn't, who makes that determination, and how do we enforce it?
Speaking only for myself, I have great affection for everyone here (yes, even 'that' person). I can't imagine a day without logging on and seeing what everyone is up to, what time Zane finally got to bed, what new toys Neil has purchased, Paris' newest outfit, the latest in apron fashions, Lisa's latest roasting experiments, remodeling projects, TR 'toons, and so forth. I also enjoyed Tiffany's contributions. Yes, she had a couple rough edges, but I believe she really tried to get along, and she's a very talented photographer. Like everyone else here, I consider her a friend, and her departure saddens me.
Beyond that, let's keep it light.
Everyone loves you Tom, me included. I hope I am not the one you think dislikes you and thought we had settled that through odd late night PMs.
I have to respond though to your regular claims of not being a part of us. You are, even if your emotions don't let you feel as such. Look at the fact you are drawn into TR as a core member, everyone responds to and enjoys your posts, and people around the country and world are thrilled to meet with you.
You are right, we don't speak photography to the exclusion of the rest of life, but we talk LOTS of photography and share our lives through pictures. This thread has often been belittled because it is "less technical" or just chatters with cameras. It is mostly by people that don't keep up and just run through that are passing judgment. That is snobbish and offensive. Not everyone learns or wants to learn in a shop talk only room. It makes for cold ego driven talk where people try to prove they are right rather than the sharing of knowledge and experience that goes on here. I have watched many people learn photography here, myself included. I don't know how much you follow but if you look last night an old poster dropped back in to ask photography questions because she knew she could get trusted honest advice. I think a lot of people come here for that.
On a side note it makes for bad blood when someone does come looking for advice or C&C and we are told we are wrong if we voice that we don't like a look or a photo.
Just a scoot-by, back later!
My cat does that
Leyla remembered all on her own it was your birthday and wanted me to send a heartfelt Happy Birthday
What I can't understand is I always manage to lose weight when I am in India yet I eat more there than I do here, I never have "problems" and I very quickly discovered that no matter how fancy the restaurant the best food is cooked by the side of the road in the Dhabas.
Feeding a worm? Maybe the fact it is oven temperatures there?
