That^^^^ Walla Walla sweets are sooooooo good.

They don't cook up so well though. They get mushy. Good old fashioned yellow Spanish onions are the best caramelized. I do like Vadalias raw though like on a burger..

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

A sweet onion caramelized a bit into gooey, yummy, sweetness is heaven in soup, burgers, taters....... Me thinks you need to try a good onion and give it another chance.

Mmmmmm......I like raw onions some, but cooked they are heavenly.

Going canoeing and to a BBQ tomorrow. Not sure about Sunday, maybe work in the shop. Though something outside would be nice too, we are finally going to get some warm sunny weather. :D

Ok, I don't mind Burger King's onion rings. But do they really use onions?

I don't think anything at burger king is real except maybe the grease.

I likes them a bit gooey. For French onion soup I use Spanish yellows though so there is some onion bits recognizable in the end and it's not overly sweet.
I rarely like French onion soup anywhere but home though. No restaurants put as much love into their soup as me and I can taste it.

No argument from me, though there is one place, Nick's Kozy Korner, a little hole in the wall place that makes a killer french onion soup.

I'm getting really tired of Firefox's spell checker. I know "no" is a difficult word to misspell, but you think that "ni" should at least have "no" in the list. It doesn't. It has:
nigh
nee
in
Ni
bi

I have a friend, about 5 years older than me, that LOVES SBSP. Almost to the point of being obsessed.

I'm not quite to that point, but I do love the sponge! :D

Onions are a major no-no in my diet. I spent countless hours at the dinner table as a youngster cause I refused to eat them. I held out though and to this day I won't eat one.

Mmmmmmmm.... Me lurves onions!

Ok, I don't mind Burger King's onion rings. But do they really use onions?

Speaking of onion rings, I saw a box of frozen T.G.I. Friday's Onion Rings at the grocery store the other day. The preparations on the back of the box said to preheat the oven, place the onion rings on a baking sheet, bake for x number of minutes, blah, blah, blah. All the usual directions you'll find on a box of frozen heat-and-eat so-called food. But, the last line said something like "Allow onion rings to cool for a couple of minutes b4 eating."

"b4"?!? Are you serious? Text speak in the heating/cooking directions?!? The weird part is, there was nothing like that anywhere else in the directions...

I tried some at a decent place in Baltimore yesterday. It was not bad, a little weak. They ruined it though. French onion calls for a crouton floated on top then covered in melty cheese. This place used salad croutons:roll: Nothing like a little Italian seasoning mixed with French onion, gaaaaaah:roll:
