Oh, and I advertise on WeddingWire (Which has now merged with Martha Stewart Weddings and Wedding Bee)... just the free account, and I just booked a wedding from a bride who found us on there. That's the 3rd one in 2 years.... not bad for FREE :) So I work the reviews on there, and ask every bride to drop us a review. So far we have 19 five-star reviews....can't hurt, ya know?

How do you have 19 reviews if you've only booked 3 weddings on that site? Or are people giving you reviews that didn't go through that site?

I've been with Wedding Wire (free) for about a year. I'll see a hit come in from them every blue moon, but being from the NYC/NJ area, there are a bazillion photographers listed so it's hard to stand out unless you pay for the featured listing.

I'll have to explore the paid FB ads. I have a page there and it gets some action, but never considered paying for ads there. Thanks!

Reviews left by brides don't have to be ones that got you through that site. Any one of your clients can leave a review on there :)

Not really the same thing, but I've always been curious about it; I've had reviews posted in multiple places. I had a bride post a review on a WeddingWire-like site and the exact same review also showed up on Yahoo Local and Google Local. I don't know if she just copied and pasted and went to the trouble of multiple postings or if they maybe feed each other.
