I found a few of these near a pond. Size is about half an inch (approx. 13mm) in length. They were sitting on lily pads waiting for prey to cross the water. I believe they are related to nursery web spiders.

This one has freshly caught prey

Yep, Six-spotted fishing spider. Although, I wonder why when there are 12 spots. It is pretty amazing to see them on the surface, but then see how quickly they can go down.

good shots, looks very much like the european dolomedes, but different markings.
looks like a young female, a lot more growing needed!
