I checked out the set where I'll be tonight taking prom portraits. Behind them is a small fake waterfall with small white xmas lights for water and pond with candles floating in it and there will be a little fog action going on.
My question is (and I'll have to to take test shots) , what aperture should I be looking for so I don't over power the ambience of the candles/fog.
I was going to use a 36x24 gridded softbox for main and a 45" shoot thru umbrella for fill...no ambient light available at all.
