I have this camera with me all the time for two reasons. One, it's fairly small and light weight, and with the kit lens on it, that doesn't add much weight or bulk. Two, my 30D is the lowest end camera I have so if something were to happen to it I would be sad and disappointed, but not to the point of needing to be committed to a mental hospital like if it were my 1D MKIII. Cheers,

I found that when traveling to unfamiliar places, a big camera attracts unwanted attentions. depends where you travel. I travel around the world with a 5DIII and before that a 30D. I never feared attention. Except in a few large US cites and Mexico City. A photo I took HERE published in National GeographicTime on your hands? Then HERE'S plenty more photos to nibble on

Mar 01, 2015 13:25 | #59 I had some time to kill in Manggarai train station, Jakarta. SO glad I had my camera with me to occupy my time. Security is quite lax there - they let you wander on to the tracks. A photo I took HERE published in National GeographicTime on your hands? Then HERE'S plenty more photos to nibble on
