Well not exactly what you may have in mind for "transportation" but believe it or not, this is my transportation for 4 weeks at a time. It has 8 16 cylinder Caterpilar 280 engines which produce power for the rig, and also the propulsion/positioning of the 8 thrusters (2 at each corner). During Sea trials we managed to clock 7 knots only on our own propulsion which is quite fast for a big square floating in the water 
. We are currently moving this rig to Brazil from Singapore where is was built last year.
During our move to Brazil, we were under tow even though we are capable of moving ourselves. But it's not exactly what we refer as fuel efficient.
