Wondering for strap/landyards for camera system.

i'm looking for a strap that is faster and easier to pull up than the stock strap.

I've seen this
http://www.blackrapid.com/product/camera-strap/rs-4/ (external link)

However the little screw that goes into the bottom i'm wondering if that little hook will support a 300mm f/2.8?

Is there any other lens strap or system i could use.

Check out the Luma Loop. I have one and so do several other folks on this board. Great alternative to the Black Rapid (which I had but now prefer the Luma Loop).

Cotton Carrier (external link). My one and only suggestion for anybody who asks about straps or alternative carrying options. In fact, I'm pretty sure a lot of people are getting sick of me saying it, but straps are pretty pointless in my opinion. Your gear is not secure, it is not safe. It can swing and bobble, it can be taken from you. On the Cotton Carrier you don't have any of these issues, and you can be totally hands-off on your gear to do other things.

I won't ramble about the details, read through the CC thread.

I actually bought a second holster so I could carry three body/lens combos, and so far I've done it a few times and loved it each time.

Yes but when doing sport photography, wouldn't have time to fubble with undoing the camera from the vest... Theres insurance for a reason, if a lens falls no big.

I bought the cheap Op/Tech chest harness. Comfortable since the weight is distributed on both shoulders, and allows quick shooting. Also minimizes camera swing compared to other neck/shoulder straps.

You can actually unhook one of the quick-release hooks, and loop the shoulder strap across your chest to mimic the BlackRapid/LumaLoop.

I also have the Camdapter handstrap attached at the same time, and the quick-release on the Op/Tech allows me to take the harness off quickly when using the tripod.

Only downside is putting it on - takes a couple seconds to get it into place - but once it's in place, it's comfortable and very versatile.

Edit: Just found this, the Op/Tech Dual Harness system - looks interesting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7zWH9qkiYs (external link)

Well, that'll be your little secret.

I use a Pacsafe 100, which has standard camera connections, but a shoulder pad through which the strap moves easily. I use it over the chest with the camera at my hip. The advantage is that the tripod hole is free, and the strap is secure even in areas of borderline safety because of two steel cables.

I never liked the idea of a camera bouncing around upside down on my hip.
