Cool, thanks for the video!

Is Phamster triggering the ABs optically? It looks like he's got a 550 facing upwards but there's something sticking on top of that flash as well that I can't figure out.

i had a 580 on top with radio poppers on top of the 580.. during this time, i had 4 lights going ..

1. Key light (triggered by Cactus V4's) AB1600
2. Rear side light (triggered by Cactus V4's) AB1600
3. Cameral Right Side rear Kicker (triggered by Cactus V4's) Ryan's AB1600
4. 2 speed lights in the far camera right for background lighting with gels triggered by Radio poppers system

but some times the Cactus doesn't fire all and a bounced light is perfect to trigger them too..

but that is why i had the speed light on to help trigger all lights.

I love the idea and the panning. Although I love the model's expression whos sitting behind the first girl, the first girl has a blank look that does not match the setting or location or situation or other model

i think you missed the whole concept in which i was trying to make..

Crazy blonde bikers - the driver is calm but yet crazy enough to put on lipstick and looking into the mirror while driving a passenger, who is scared out of her mind in a parking garage going about 60 MPH..

that is the concept.. sorry you didn't see that in my photo.. art is subject though..

thanks again everybody for the comments.

Phamster

This really doesn't look like a bike in motion, just a lot of photoshop edits which really kills the photo for me. Everything is soft/OOF instead of having motion blur.

Great concept, good setup but I'm not feeling the sense of motion based on how you did the post work.

If you were truly panning with them, then the bike and everything on it should be sharp (including the passenger's scarf out to the very end where it could be whipping in the breeze .. it's moving the same speed she is.)

It's actually more the video editor in me speaking than the photographer.

Way too many hours in edit suites trying to "fake" effects for which there wasn't a sufficient budget.

Jay, i did that edit just like you were saying.. Panning and everything on the bike, subject, ect is sharp.. and i didn't like that edit.. kinda looked boring to me..

so i selectivly blurred what i wanted and it looked more interesting to me at that point..

my personal work won't be realistic but more to the interesting side.. and all the techical aspects will probably trumped by color tones, aggressive edits, etc.. like this one.. the girls were never even moving and i would never have Courney ride with out a helmet.. haha.. no way..

anyways.. personal art is personal art and subjective edits can be tweeked to make it look as realistic as possible or not....

but i do understand your point about the moving subjects in a real panning photo to be some what equally sharp..
