I understand this combination will not work with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM lens attached, but the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM lens is smaller and I was hoping it would fit.

May 16, 2010 20:43 | #8 Thanks everyone for your feedback. After reading reviews all day I think I am going to stay away from a sling style bag and go with a two strap bag (backpack) I can rotate up front. This old pony has a bad back and I believe the single sling may be too much for long hikes.

FWIW, the Kata 3N1 series offers you both (sling & backpack) but the 3N1-2x is just as tight of a fit with that body+70-200 as the 200AW is and the 3N1-3x is that heavy when full that the "sling" mode is pretty much useless...
