Whatcha taking a picture of?

An owl.

Really? Where? Oh WOW!

Had that conversation about 20 times today:lol:. The Home Depot Owl family is doing fine and the chicks have really grown since my last visit. I was hoping to get both of them looking out at once, but they weren't cooperating.

Cool shots! It's funny to me how the chicks seem like these spunky little guys and the mother (?) looks old wise and sage like...or clearly annoyed with her children haha!

I'd still like to know what they are eating and where they are coughing up the pellets to. Very nice shots your getting. It can't be easy.

That is so strange and yet so wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to revisit them. Love the pics! They are so cute. Please keep us updated on these owls as they grow.

So cute! The owls seem to have found a good home, and what a great opportunity to see them up close on a regular basis. There must be a lot of mice around for them to catch.

Love the little ones, so cute. Excellent shots, keep us posted as these grow. I'm enjoying this series, I never see owls.

I know of an owl family in a Lowes in Mesa AZ but they would not let me take any pictures and in fact did not want any publicity of any sort = they have been there for at least 3+ years = and doing fine
you are lucky to get the pictures great find - good shots

Thanks for all the comments. I'm glad people found these interesting.

Mitch, the garden area is only partially covered, so the adults are free to come and go. The nest is sheltered by the stuff stack on the shel above. I didn't ask about the pellets, but noe of the employees I talked to mentioned them, so it must not be too much of a problem. Or maybe they will have a big surprise when they move those pallets after the chicks fledge:lol:.

Marcy, that's very interesting. The store here isn't actively publicizing the owls, but they don't seem to have any problem with people taking pictures. The nest is visible from the check-out area and the clerks enjoy talking to customers about them.
