Day Two New Sandhill Crane Babies

These images were taken on day two of the new Sandhill crane Chicks.
I have named the larger one "Big Red", and the smaller one "Little Bit".

No 1 I am in charge here!

Thanks for sharing Bill. I don't see very many images of these posted up and fewer yet of the young so I really like seeing these unique images. You've done some great work here.

These are wonderful images, I like them all, but that one with the black BG really pops. Excellent shooting.

Nice series of shots. If only those dang blades of grass weren't in the shot on those 1st two those would be absolutely perfect. Even still they are simply fantastic shots. But #3 is a real winner! bw!

The Sandhill Cranes Build their nest in a wetland conservation area. There are Gators all around and the nest is surrounded by water that is a couple of feet deep.
There is no hope of doing any pruning of the vegetation. In fact there are only a couple of small spots that have a view of the nest.
