After reviewing all the photos here using the ND filter I am wondering if I should buy one to bring to my trip to Niagara Falls Friday.

I plan on visiting the falls part of day one, all of day two and then drive to Niagara on the lake for day three.

First would this filter be helpful? I just bought the BW polarizer for the trip, also would I need to use a tripod for this filter.

I really don't know anything about the filter but, LOVE the results I see.

Any input is appreciated.

I will be bringing my 24-105, 50 1.4 and 16-35 with me on this trip if that makes a difference.

You would definitely need a tripod to properly use a neutral density filter as it is used to allow slow shutter speeds.
