I never thought of that good point. :)
You know I've always thought the Palace of Whitehall a most attractive building.
I feel a trip to London coming on.

Let me know when you do, and I'll come along and document your interactions with the Police under section 44!! ;)

I don't think they let visitors into Paddington Green (I presume they still take all the terrorist suspects there). I reckon I'll do it while wearing my biggest sticky out 50's dress in bright red with a minnie mouse style bow in my hair to help me look inconspicuous.

From the product shot, it looks like the Amazon version doesn't include the Hot Shoe Sliding Plate.

Oh it won't get that far because, of course, you have not actually done anything illegal!! Taking photos in a public place is not against the law! ;)

Sadly someone forgot to tell the plastic plods. Rounding up photographers appears to be their main duty these days.

Er, I actually have something very similar (it's a Celestron red-dot finder with a hot-shoe adapter). I't very useful in astronomy - where it's very difficult to tell one star from another in your viewfinder.

it wouldn't need one, it has adjustment screws to sight it in, you would just need to line up your dot with the center focal point on the camera (which would be just like sighting in a rifle scope. once its spot on, you know the camera is focusing on the dot without looking through the viewfinder

What is the best range to zero a camera? :)

ROFLMAO!

but i'd imagine that this will cause all sorts of issues with transit cops, traffic cops, port authority cops and anybody who's a bit too "ultra alert" these days in the USA...
