Hi guys and gals..... :)

Please be HONEST - I enjoyed myself so much that I want to do this more often!

Ok, I have just done my first 2 ever Live Band shoots. Both done at the Miami Bayside Band Stand venue as FREE Public Performances.
1st - SHOOT - Fri 14th May - Room Service performed
2nd - SHOOT - Sat 15th May - Eclipse Live Band performed

Points to ponder:

1.> I was not commissioned. I merely passed by and was allowed to shoot.
2.> I used flash triggers for Off-Camera-Flash capability (pkt wzd 2 x TT5's)
3.> 40D with a 100mm f2.8 USM Macro & 1 x 580exII - ROOM SERVICE
4.> 40D with a EF-S 10-22mm w/angle & 1 x 580exII - ECLIPSE
5.> Both Bands extremely friendly and welcoming. Shots taken on-stage
6.> I am using my corporate details to 'Watermark' all the images.
7.> I am merely an enthusiast and hobbyist and not a 'Pro-Tog'
8.> There are a total of 45 photos uploaded to FACEBOOK for ECLIPSE

The pics - I have uploaded to my Facebook profile and I have 'watermarked' all the photos. These Pics are only available to view by the band members for now! Once the Band(s) have 'proofed' these, I will send them the actual Photos. This means that I will have to add them as 'Friends' on Facebook to proof-read. This stops existing Friends from seeing these pics and adding unnecessary and distracting comments.

This also means that you too will have to be added as 'Friends' to my Facebook profile. I am sorry and I hope you don't mind.... :o
My name is: Afzal Mahammad

You might get more CC if you post a few of the images here...
Most people are hesitant to click an external link, and even more people won't bother to go through Facebook...

Thanks - totally agree Armando.
The 1st gig, I used a 100mm lens only. I had shutter-synch problems - I think the Rear-Synch was set. I kept getting major black-banding across the lower-part of the image on most shots. So - the flash lit the the upper, the stage lights lit the lower parts of the image. The single 580exII was OCF using 2 x TT5's.
The 2nd gig, I used a ISO of 250 for most pics, the single OCF 580exII with remote triggers and using a sole 10-22mm lens. I got alot more 'keepers' with this setup. However, the overall look and feel ended up very 'snap-shot' ...iisshhh.... so I have no problems with your frank opinion.

Also - admittedly, my Photoshop CS3 skills are dire - so, perhaps it is better that I leave live-gigs alone until I know what I should be doing and what result(s) are preferred.

I agree - it is not the Kit being used. It's how I am using the kit..... so I think I will ask this question:

Armando: If you are on Facebook, can you add-me as a Friend? I can then let you have access to the entire 45-shot gallery including the CS3 edited images. Perhaps you could advise me of what acceptable shots should be like...? and how this can be achieved...

Suggests your shutterspeed was too high (not sure if that's possible with the Pocketwizzards) or the sync was off.
