I know opinions on computer setups are a dime a dozen but does anybody care to give me an opinion on this laptop for minor editing work? Thanks!

May 17, 2010 11:45 | #2 There are a few things that I don't like about it, but the biggest is the screen's resolution (1366 x 768 ). It's also kinda heavy for being mostly plastic. My MBP is like 90% metal and it weighs .1lb less. I guess for the price you cannot be too picky though.

Would be OK for doing quick edits and with an i5 processor it should be good enough to use back at base with an external hard drive and monitor.

Unless you really need something more compact!  Acer actually bought Gateway out a little while ago. For the price the build is not bad at all. I have heard good and bad about Acer's, mostly bad.
