NONE...

I don't even own any UV filters (or any other clear filters). The only filters I use are for special effect such as a polarizing filter.

All I use for "protection" for my lenses is the recommended rigid lens hoods.

Are you going to be shooting in the rain? Because that's about the only time I can see a UV filter being useful on an ultrawide.

Are you asking about the I or II 16-35?

One my 16-35 II I use the B+W MRC F-Pro Brass. When i bought the lens I bought BOTH the Slim and non-Slim versions. I noticed no difference between the two, so I returned the slim since it was a pain to deal with due to the crappy lens cap it comes with, and because it was more expensive.

For my lenses, which includes the 16-35 II, I tend to lean towards B+W Brass MRC UV F-Pro Filters (external link), across the board. Durability is unbeatable IMO, & they have taken a beating per-say, without receiving either damage to the glass or the filter ring.

I do not notice any vignetting. However, I do notice, that I have less flare, with the Filters' on, than without.

Hoya HD

There is no slim version, it is the slim version. $110 shipped from B&H, I think. No vignetting. Front threads.

The XSPro are new and werent around when I bought all my stuff. Are they brass? If not, go with the F-Pro Brass.

Huh, so both brass, both same price, im assuming both multi-coated, so what IS the difference? Are the XSPros thinner or something?
