Hi there!

I am going pro.. and hoping to get my first paying client soon! LOL..

I am trying to decide which host to go with. I like the idea of a webhost specializing in photography so it's a one stop deal.. galleries/client login/calendar/etc..

I really really like photobiz.com but it is more start-up money. I came across portfoliositez.com and it looks pretty good for the money!

Any feedback on portfoliositez? Thanks! I appreciate it!

T

I can attest to Photobiz that it is an amazing host. A little pricey to start but luckily those are one time fees, a lot of other companies charge less but every year for those options. And with over 70 templates to choose from, you can't go wrong. Esp since each template has a bunch of different color schemes, and with one click template changing....that's a win in my book.

I have portfoliositez They are top notch, they are very quick to respond with any questions or any requests you have for your site, the price is incredible and the sites themselves are BEAUTIFUL. I spent hours looking up different sites to host from, almost went to bludomain but heard terrible stuff about them. So i decided on portfoliositez and I absolutely love my site.
This is my site

Foreverpicturesque.com
Good luck!

very nice site Dawn Marie. Does Portfoliositez offer help in setting up the template? Doing all the cool things that they have shown in the sample sites? I have been 'playing' around with the sample admin sites and can't quite figure out how to do it all (plus they are kind of messed up from the numerous people who use them). For instance on your proofing page, how you have the word 'proofing' coming off of the picture, that is cool! :)

PhotosbyT: if you don't want to make a huge investment ($$$) try Portfoliositez...it's less start up money and will give you and idea if you like using that type of site.....you can always switch over to photobiz at a later time....

Hi Reena!
They set everything up for you! All you have to do is change the colors, add your photos and text pages. The scroll text on the side that comes up, that is already set up with the template. They will also change the font if you like, but that is more of a custom thing they do complimentary. Everything you see on the sample site is basically how it comes, it's really what sold me! (along with the price, Im paying 16 dollars a month for premium service).

T -

SmugMug is by far the way to go. Granted they do have limited pre-loaded pages but they are one time fee for the year for unlimited amount of photos. I looked at PhotoBiz and they will charge you each month based on how many photos are on the site.

I would suggest creating a check list of all the "features" that you want to present to your customers as well as how best to manage your site. There are a ton of sites, you just have to find one that best fits your business.

Good luck.

I agree. SmugMug is one of the best priced photo hosting sites out there. And the customer service is unbeatable.

I use PhotoBiz...
I LOVE it. Best decision that I've made.

Their customer service is amazing, it would almost be impossible to find better customer service.
It's SO EASY to edit, and customize everything. The shopping cart add-on is also AMAZING, and totally worth the one-time setup fee.

If you have any questions about it, feel free to PM me :p
If you decide to go with PhotoBiz, use me as a referral for a small discount (PM me for my name)
