well there is a 25% bing cashback at J&R... im wondering what the heck is the difference between different CPLs... on B&H there is like a ton of different B&W CPL filters...

Should any of these be fine? im looking to get a CPL filter for my 17-40L..

Budget isnt really a problem... although i am looking for something that is average/above average on cost... not looking to get the best..

anyone can help me?

The first link is a general B+W 77mm CPL, the second link is their ultra thin version which wont have a thread on the outside so if you want to leave it on your camera and still use a lens cap this one isn't for you. If money is not an issue get the B+W 77mm MRC CPL, the MRC being the multi-coated version, I think they add a Pro-1 designation on the end of that version.

Yea, dont bother with the slim filters just make sure youre getting a multi-coated one (MRC) and get the ones made of brass as well.

And dang! 25%!? Really? Thats pretty good.
