Based on the nice comments and advice my previous post got I decided to get out early yesterday and try for some better light. I'm pretty happy with the results. Thanks for looking.

Very envious here Ken, the Avocets and Stilts have been and always will be a favorite of mine. I don't get to see the Avocet often here and never in full breeding color like yours.

You've found a gold mine and have been doing an outstanding job capturing the beauty of these birds.

Great set Ken, well worth your time away from work. The open beak shot is my favorite. Looks like a fragile beak, so thin, probably very strong, whatever, Great set and shooting.
