couple things... the facial expression is not to flattering for the pose and the light needs to be balanced. I think the hot spotted dress drags attention from the face. Which in a shot like this, I would think should be the selling point.

Thanks for all the tips. Very much appreciated. I was all excited about the strong compositional lines but knew there was much room for improvement. I had a 2nd shot that showed a better expression and more face, yet slightly less directional flow (my imagination? ... still getting a handle on this "art" stuff). Is it a better selection?

Orange County, Calif.

The preserve in Laguna Beach (canyon) along the 133 before it gets into the populated area, just after the El Toro split (heading towards the beach). Parking is $3 per day.
