+1

Seriously I bought a few issues of Pop Photo then bought an issue of Digital Photo since a family member pointed it out to me at random and I haven't looked back since. So Digital Photo would have to be it.

Currently subscribed to shutterbug, it's okay but I first bought the shutterbug special "expert photo techniques" (which is really good annual publication) the rest have too much gear reports. Probably will not subscribe next year.

I used to subscribe to Digital Photo but it gets very repetitive after about 6-9 months. Also I don't like the tutorials about how to change skies etc - that goes too far in PP for my taste. They seem heavily into "if it aint right in the camera, just fix it in post"

My current favourite - a good blend of technique, opinion and locations

I've been picking up Digital SLR Photography every month so far and it's not a bad read. It feels a lot less like a catalog then some of the mags I have read.

I haven't gotten to that point yet but that does seem to plague the cheaper mags (news stand price). Pop Photo is too gear heavy for my tastes and Digital Photo is more about technique although I do wish both discussed getting things right in camera instead of pushing Adobe products and Aperture.

I have just subscribed to Pop Photo but I still pick up a copy of Outdoor Photographer occasionally. I have checked out a few others but these 2 are my favorites.
