Broad Daylight

Since it's directly overhead and 4:30 in the afternoon, I thought I'd see if I could get any kind of decent image in broad daylight. Here's the before and after some aggressive black point pushing.

Verdict: Good not great. Best wait till dark!

What did you use for noise removal? Good job...

Edsport - I've tried a few noise reducers and I use Dfine 2 from Nik software. The default setting works pretty well (which is what I used here) but, if you're willing to play with it, you can bring about a big improvement in almost any image without making it look too pasty.

gjl711 - You must be the most posted person on POTN!

Note on editing: One thing I usually do is use the noise reduction software on the full-scale image, then shrink the image (keeping same px/inch) to the size I want. Shrinking is really just an averaging technique itself and it'll reduce noise too, but I think it's better if it goes second. Someone might play with this tho'. I shrank this from 1000 to 800 px so that probably did a little.
