Hi Stephen,

My 400mm lens was attached to the 12mm extension tube, wide open with 1/1250s on tripod. I actually stood about 10-12 feet away from these flowers for about 2 hours to get the right shots. After awhile, these hummingbird will get use to you and will pose for you.
