Hello all,

One of my first tryouts with a DSLR. I bought a 40D with a nifty fifty (50mm F/1.8 II) recently and I really love the sharpness of the photos with this lens.

Feedback is very welcome!

P.S. I see that I can only upload small file sizes. Is there any website you recommend for quickly sharing photos?

Open a flickr account. The basic account is free. You can upload your pictures there and then paste the link (url) of the picture into your posting using the "insert image" icon.

Now I think I'll take a run to Starbucks... :-)

I tried to focus on the foam on top of the coffee only, I guess I should still leave the rest of the glass in focus? I like the thin DOF of the higher apertures, but have yet to learn a lot. Thanks for the critique! :)
