I have 2 5d MkII cameras which work fine and I use them both all day every day.
I need to be able to shoot remotely and have purchased the WFT-E4 II to be able to do this.
It all works fantastic for a couple of minutes and then I lose connection between the CAMERA BODY and the WFT-E4 II. Both units remain powered on but I lose the connection from a hardware/firmware perspective. The wifi signal even stays connected but its like the camera has forgotten that the WFT is attached. I can even be playing around in the WFT menu and the screen will blank out and then the WFT menu is gone.
SO I tried the WFT on the other camera body same thing.
The logical thing is that the WFT is faulty so I ordered a new one because I need it working and couldn't wait for a replaceent.
Guess what?! exactly the same problem.
It's driving me nuts. I've turned off 'auto power off' and done everything I can think of.
Canon were no help other than send everything in and we'll have a look - oh and you can have it back with 3 weeks!

Does anyone have any ideas at all ??
