Shooting through Glass!...

I've always loved photos that gave the "Monet" look!.. that means that the photo is not that sharp at all. And, the photo should give an "impression" and thats all!..

I've seen some great photos taken with just plain glass. Window glass, that is...
And some sort of colored gel sheet can also be placed on top or under the window glass if desired.

I'd love to give that a try buy don't know where I would be able to purchase this material.
Would anyone have any information on this?

They make such a thing as soft focus lenses, or you can do what people did before photoshop and rub vaseline on your lens filter. I'm having a bit of a hard time visualizing what you're wanting to do with just plain glass.

You can find this effect in most post processing software. This photo was taken through antique window glass inside a home.
