You've made a nice job and not overdone the effect, except that the green looks a bit too virulent for me. Nature's greens are seldom quite that bright and it detracts a little from otherwise pleasant images.

Also, if you are looking for hdr specific feedback, there's a dedicated HDR subforum under the RAW and Post Processing heading.

+1 for the greens being far too vibrant/saturated. However, it looks like a beautiful spot.

Looks like a great spot and some great pics. Is it close to Albany? I like what the HDR did for filling in the shadows in the background, but agree that the brightness of the greens can be taken down a notch to make it look more natural.

My first thought was similar . . . that the greens were too intense. But then I recalled my own hike this past weekend, and the early foliage this time of year has more intense greens than the mature leaves in mid-summer. This may actually reflect some of those "younger" green leaves . . .

I do like the shots, though. I always try to remember that depending on your audience, some will like certain techniques, other will not. This shot reminds me of the motivational posters you often see, especially in the inflight magazines. Large black borders with some philosophical phrase like PERSISTANCE under the shot . . .

I agree it was a very light green color....
It is in Niskayuna NY... like 10mins from Albany.

here .... I tried to fix the green a bit.

looks like there is still detail blown at both ends of the range... the log in the centre is a perfect example and actually the area of highest contrast.

HDR is about retaining detail in the shadows and highlight. I don't think it's a great scene to benefit from HDR treatment really.
