On that first shot, you don't really get the benefit of seeing her belly bump. If she were in PROFILE to the camera, it would be more effective. I also think that she is way overcovered in that shot. you can cover the Girly Bitz without going all the way down to her knees. I understand that she might be modest, but that is going overboard a bit, for someone wanting this sort of a shot. Also, her arms are bent back at a very strange angle. Perhaps bringing her wedding ring hand up and over one shoulder even. Or both arms positioned elegantly across her chest. On the other hand, in shot one, I like the black background as it is a nice contrast for the falling petals. I love the way you have her hair fanned out behind her and I like the way the light is falling on her face.
I have nothing much to say about the second shot. I may have done it without the flower personally and just had her hands cradling her belly. Personal choice though.
That third shot is odd to me. If you look at it, and then imagine that instead of a pregnant woman on her back, that it is a non pregnant person on her belly with the blocks on her butt and her pants half pulled down. Go and look at the photo with that in mind. Am I nuts, or could it be both? I think the problem is ??? the shape of her belly? Is it on too gradual a slope? I don't know. Perhaps you needed to pull that white fabric down more so it is just skimming the pube line or just above. Still decent, but would allow the last 1/4 of her belly bump to show its shape. It is great that you have that shot in profile, but too much of her bump is covered up, maybe that's it.
I do really like the way you criss crossed the fabric across her chest, that is very elegant. Have you experimented with different fabrics, perhaps tulle or silk, or satin, something not as thick? I do like the texture in it and it is a great ivory color. the light is nice in all these shots.
Overall, although you are probably thinking i hated them, I absolutely did not. You did a great first job! That's why I bother to take the time to point out things to consider, it's because you look like you have great potential. Nothing says that my opinion is fact. Just something to consider for yourself to either accept or reject.
