Interesting first shot! Did you make the wood piece up specifically for that?

The second shot is a bit dark in the foreground and the view isn't interesting enough to compensate - at least for me. Also, I like your conversion in the first one.

nice shots.. welcome, nice to see another Brit in here :)

Do you shoot these in colour and then convert them or do you shoot in B&W? If the latter, I'd suggest always shooting in colour as you can always convert to B&W :)

I see, yeah.. I used to shoot some pictures in B&W but now I always shoot in colour and if I want the picture in B&W I just convert in Photoshop.. Got some good colour scaling to adjust what you want out of the picture in that.

I also always shoot in RAW unless I know I'm going to run out of space. Much easier to edit RAW files than JPG.

Just checking your Flickr images out now :)

I really like the last one in the series, sort of invites you into the picture to see what's behind the door. It almost looks like a window in a leaf covered wall.
