Thanks. Was a good evening, and towards the end the wind just died, so they flew the string and sticks pair :-)

Big respect for getting such sharp images at 1/160th with this kit. I was using the same kit at Duxford but struggled at 1/200th and 1/250th while at 400mm :(

I need to practice the art of smooth panning I think

Thanks. You're right, it's just practice, and I live and work at an airport, so get plenty :-) And there are some on here who do it at 1/80 and still get them sharp. I did the sunday at Duxford as well, pics will follow.

Thanks Jay, from you that's praise indeed :-)

nigpd, you'll be suprised if you keep practicing, a few months down the line and you'll be wondering if you can get it just a little slower, maybe 1/60 :-) Just take at look at some of Jays pics.

What this guy said :) Some really terrific shots here; I especially think that the Box Kite shot is a fairly unique and interesting shot.

Great work with the ole' "Dust Pump" :)

Most excellent!! The F86 is my fave, but I'm a USAF military brat.
