My overall comment is that you need to shoot later in the day (or very early in the day). Your light is harsh and that is the primary fault in all of the photos.

I am super cool n' stuff.

Not trash, all these images have good elements to them. Shooting later in the day would just make them much cleaner and better looking.

Not bad for your first one.

Nope. Shoot on over cast days, or later in the day. Also shoot in the shade. You could also try to use a reflector. Even a white piece of foam board could help.

Still better than my first try, see how the overcast will help. I like him holding her shoes in the last one, good ideas.

Canon Xsi w/kit lens, 50mm/1.8, Manfroto tripod, and now realizing a steep learning curve. Editing OK

Thanks. I really look forward to the second e-shoot

Here are my thoughts for what they're worth ;)

1. love the expression, just wish their eyes were open in this.. how does it look in colour? i do like the b&w tho

2. nice processing and lovely shot, but dont like the wilting flower.. the one upright by itself would have been perfect.

3. not a big fan of this shot.. lots of negative space and no real detail in the kiss below (points raised before about shooting in harsh sunlight so wont repeat (i made this mistake too) - I can see what you were trying to do here and about an hour before sunset this would have been a great shot. the sun would be lower and they would be in the shot exposed correctly.. keep trying this .. i know i will be :P )

4. good effort on this... i think the couple need more direction on holding their hands out on this but still good (im just being picky now)

5. really like this but dont like where the guys hand is.. outside the dress would have been perfect

6. again good shot but again very harsh light

hope this helps a bit

keep working at it !!!

all the best

SK
