It sounds like your interests would be more suited for the 85mm ƒ/1.8. Although, what new gear are you going to be getting?

Apparently I've been dubbed Foxy.

Well...You don't do macro, the 85 is good, faster, OK for headshots, you have to zoom with your feet anyhow at weddings and events, so let the 100 f/2.8 go. Still don't know what cleaning out 'gears' has to do with it and only you will know if you miss it.
Cheers,
John

im trying to make room for a 5dc and a 70-200 f2.8 IS or 4 IS. still deciding on which telezoom. in order for me to complete my savings, i should probably get rid of a lens.

If the macro feature of the 100mm isn't needed I would send that one away.. I have the 85 1.8 and I have acces to the 100 macro and I only use the 100 when I want its macro capabilities, since you're interested in a 70 200 and if the macro isn't something needed the 85 can give you an edge on low light portraits and weddings....

Yeah, but he has a other macrolens he can use for that.

In your case, sell the 100mm. You also get more money for that lens.
