I know I should go with tubes but for now I have just spent all I can on photography equipment and I'm looking for some close up filters but there's so many idk which gives the best quality. I know I know, none will give the BEST quality, just looking for a cheap alternative to take some close ups. For now of course. See, I want to take indoor macro type shots of random things like I used to with my p&s but can't with the dslr's lenses I have. Here's samples of what I want to take:

These are crops so if I wanted to print big they wouldn't come out as big as I want.

Both Canon and Nikon offer close-up filters with two optical elements. The single element filters are all inferior, by comparison.

Yup, close up filters are better suited to cameras with permanently mounted lenses.

I will be getting tubes later down the road but for nor this is just for fun pictures, I'm not a pro and don't have much money, unless your saying tubes are cheaper but from what I've seen they're more expensive right?

You can buy tubes that have no electrical connections for about $10.You have to manual focus and
to change aperture you have to set the aperture then Hold down the DOF button while you remove the lens and then add the tubes to the mix.A bit of a pain but no IQ loss.
