I took this picture of a tree on a hill at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC in February 2010. One of the things I like about this photo is that it lends itself to creative post-processing, which I applied in the following examples using Photoshop CS. The first is the original shot. Let me know what you think...

I like the idea of combing 4 into one. I had planned on having them printed and them framing them in individual frame and hanging then in a square. In the mean time I played around with it in GIMP too. What do you think of this one?

Thanks! I appreciate that. But I can't take the credit for the combination - that belongs to Nathan...

No bother at all. I took it on February 20th at about 4:30 PM. You familiar with the area?

nah have only been to Jasper and Atlanta, GA but I have been eyeing this bare tree in a cow pasture that I think would photograph well and when insaw ur phot it inspired me to go after it but it's on private property and prob 500 ft from the road and all I have is a 28-135 kit lens just doesn't have the reach. Wonder if I could some how contact the farmer and ask permission to go and photograph it. Anyway again nice shot and thanks for the info

Any time. Maybe if all else fails you can resort to the old-fashioned, but still reliable form of contacting the farmer - send him a letter in the mail...
