Thinking about getting this timer/remote (external link) for time lapse photography on my 40D. Does anyone have one?

I have a wireless one from the same company but it doesn't have time lapse capability.

I had a similar one from Amprture (hong kong) version - worked for a while then just would not even do a single shot - just got my Canon tc 80n3 one - cost much more but it works great- just don't know what you are getting with the cheap ones

I have seen a few people around here mention it before. Havent read any complaints. Looks like the Canon one which I have and as long as it does all the same stuff its going to be awesome too.

I have one of these. They work great, no issues, as much as I found out compared to the
genuine Canon, that the battery last for 3-4 months in these, and 1-2 years in the Canon.
Other than that, same functions, reliable.

I have the Aputure version. Worked really well until last week. I set it up to do a sequence of shots and it started off fine, so I let the remote dangle from the cord and it stopped shooting. Picked up the remote again and it started. Obviously a loose connection to the cable. Was OK when I velcroed it to the tripod leg.

So I bought a wireless version - this (external link).
