Had a short five days break based in Icmeler, Turkey, last week. Perfect weather, great people, lovely food and plenty to see ... though we had to cover around 800+ km's worth of day trips to do it!

Here's just a cross section to give a flavour ... rest in my gallery. It was my first real go with the Voigtlander 40mm Ultron 2.0 SL II and 58mm Nokton 1.4 SL II. Mainly used the 40mm on the D700 and 58mm on the D200, but the 70-300mm VR got plenty of use too. I should have taken my wide angle in retrospect but hey-ho - only ha hand baggage and something had to give.

Most of the shots were keepers and MF with the Voigtlander lenses was very easy in the main; but the light was harsh each day, more so because I slept a lot and rare we set out before 10am!

Sorry to appear horrible but;

- Horizon needs straightening on 2
- Number 3 is overexposed
- Number 4 doesn't appeal to me. The electricity box is too distracting

In number 2 those are hills and not meant to be straight ;)

Don't really agree on number 3, at least on my calibrated monitor. Definitely err's into overexposed on my non-calibrated monitor tho' so borderline. Not much dynamic range due to crazy sun - tricky to process, especially with the 40mm which tends to OE and really needs some compensation in bright conditions. Same applies to a number of shots in the full set.

Fair enough on number 4 ... I think the box helps make the composition and I prefer it to shots of same scene where I took it out by standing in a different place.

Sorry - just realized i posted referring to the wrong photos :o

I meant the horizon on the boats wasn't straight and that foreground on 4 was overexposed
