Is this a juvenile heron?

I was at Secret Woods Nature Center this afternoon and was suprised by these lovely creatures:

It's a Yellow-crowned Night Heron. Nice shot of it too and the squirrel.

The 1st one is a yellow crowned night heron (I think)....nice shot, and that 2nd one is your everyday common tree rat.

Hi Stan. It was a beautiful afternoon and I was in the area so I decided to stop by and see what I can find. The heron was feeding as I approached but instead of flying away it perched in the boardwalk. I got a few shots off and this was the best of the bunch.

If you decide to go the Secret Woods on your next trip here just bring your flash. You will definitely need it for this wooded park.
