I just went through a bunch of snaps on my friends' FB pages, and I'm ALWAYS amazed at the amount of red eye, I see. Even on important snapshots (like, say, someone's first communion). It's such a simple correction...with the basic program that came with your camera! Or some other free photo editing. So, why don't they fix it??? And, why is it so bad in the first place? Do they not realize their camera probably has a red eye reduction mode. (And I know for a FACT that most of these friends have decent point and shoots that should have that option!)
I'm fascinated with number of people who print pictures of their kids with bright red demon eyes. It's epidemic.
So, now, my mission is to explain to all my acqaintances that it's a simple fix. Is anyone with me????

And, since I didn't take them, I typically don't have the digital copy to fix. Otherwise it just strikes me as peculiar that it's so often left in; not just in a single photo (which doesn't seem odd to me at all) but in whole collections (which does seem odd). It looks like people would at least adjust their favorites. But to each their own. I only really "care" when it's on my niece or nephews.
