Anyone have any experience or opinions with the Canon batteries from Hong Kong?

The above is an ebay link to an auction on ebay that I won. Seems like a too good to be true price that I won it at.

I certainly hope it works out for you. If you don't mind, please update your post with your findings after your receive it and see if the battery communicates with the body. At that price, I don't think I'd be the only one interested in picking up a couple of spares...

i hope its the right one...looks pretty close with all the right parts except the missing hologram thats usually on the top left of the box. guess the real test will be if they register/report on the camera and can recharge via the oem charger. 54 people believe it is ;)

If you can read this, you don't need a macro | 7D + 5DIII + Waaaay too much spent....

I bought one for $60 shipped that registers and charges on the canon charger. It doesn't look exactly like the Canon battery either, but very close. Maybe they have figured out how to fake the chip. If you want I can post pictures with the difference in the label.

Looking again I would say that the one I bought for $60 is made for the european market. The one that has the serial number embosed in it came with my 5D2. The other one that says EUROPE ONLY I just bought on ebay.

I have 4 LP-E6 Canon batteries; 2 came in the cameras and 2 separately (in the same orders). They all look like the left-hand one of yours.

Maybe the don't throw away symbol is for europe only. Kind of like the warning on some items is only for california.
