T1i, Xsi or 40 D for a second body?

I already have a 5DC so im looking for a cropped sensor and was deciding between the three, a 40D, T1i or Xsi. It will be mainly used for street photography and catching candid moments.


My eyes were set on an Xsi, but given the minimal price difference, I thought a 40D is a better alternative due to its higher FPS, something the 5D truly lacks. T1i intrigues me because it has HD video, I dont necessarily need it but having it is a bonus specially in situations where you want to be a little bit more creative and capture some videos. Xsi is a nice little rocket. I used to have one and sold it, but lately since I realize I need a second body I thought an Xsi is a good compromise considering its price and value.


Any help guys?

I'd say go for the 40D. It will "feel" closer to the 5D, and overall the autofocus is faster ; which is quite important in street and "live" photography.
Overall, I would'nt get a Rebel over a XXD serie if it was solely for the video.
