Here are some HD footage derived from a single highly-detailed photo* of the moon which was captured on March 7, 2010 from Paranaque City, Philippines. :)

According to Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), the flag is on Mars.

Nice shot

More than anything I'm surprised that 1/25s was sufficient at that focal length without tracking. Was there no sign of motion? I was taking a shot at 1120mm the other day (here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=876487) and could see the moon moving slowly in the viewfinder. If so maybe tonight I'll give it another go and will be able to drop my ISO a little.

Yes, 1/25 sec is sufficiently fast to freeze the moon with a 7D + 1600 mm. Here's a 100% crop of the photo:

Thank you, that's certainly sufficient evidence!

No more silly me trying to stay at 1/100s or so.
