which bag can I buy to carry 70-200mm IS II lens while I ride mountain bike?

I have been searching think tank web site for packs but I haven't found suitable one.

How do I attach the camera bag to the bike or on my body ?

don't like the one that comes with the lens? or you just looking for something that you don't have to worry about getting dirty ? my 70-200/2.8IS MKI comes with a pretty decent case with a loop that can be strapped onto a bike. It is a good question though since that case is indeed a monster (that you might want to keep in good condition for resale).

If you can read this, you don't need a macro | 7D + 5DIII + Waaaay too much spent....

I keep my Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS L in the Lowepro Lens Case 3. It fits absolutly perfect with tripod collar attached and the lens hood reversed. It is very well padded, and comes with a shoulder strap or has the quick lock system and it can be attached to other Lowepro bags. I love it! read the reviews on B&H, most people use it for this lens or the 300mm F/4.

I use a Slingshot AW200 to carry my 50D with a 100-400 without any issue. There is also plenty of room to fit a 70-200 IS II.

The secret is to remove the inside foam and put the lens in lengthwise rather than across. I cut the foam dividers and re-sewed the two long ones together and made a divider that allows me to put in 3 other lenses with my 100-400 lens.

I can carry a 50f1.4, a Tokina 11-16 and a 18-200IS all with hoods. I'll see about photographing it with my daughters P&S so you can see it all assembled.

The Slingshot has an added cross buckle to stop it from falling off the sholder. Is it pretty comfortable with a mountain bike, or just walking.

Matt.

i've seen camera bags meant for bikes, but i just don't like the idea. i know this might be more uncomfortable, but i'd rather have a bag on my body that would dampen most of the vibrations from riding.

When you say mountain bike are you talking trail riding? Seems like a bag idea to have it attached to your bike.

How he did it is one question but I'm wondering how much the camera is protected and how much vibration it endures there. Depends on the ride of course but...hmmmm.
