CRIKEY

I now know why some people regard this as the sharpest Canon Zoom L.

Taken at f/2.8.

Wow that is super sharp

Morning folks,

Steve - if you want to borrow my 100-400 (rather than rent one) I'm not on photo duty next weekend, it's yours to borrow if you need/want to?

Cheers Lee will let you know. Where abouts are you based?
Spent the day at Margate airshow, and despite the inclement weather was not bad. Just waiting for pics to upload then will post some.

no worries - I'm jct.10a on the M23... let me know, you'd need to collect it on Friday evening (and I'd need it back in time for Monday)

Well, Vegas seemed like the place to get this done finally...

Excuse the glare, Em was taking the photos.

Ink'd by a very talented young artist at Starlight King Ink (Mario Barths studio).
It definately will not be to most peoples tastes, it is a Mexican Day of the Dead Sugar Skull, very traditional style of tattoo and custom designed by the artist. It is nice because I know it is unique and no one else anywhere in the world will have this same design.
It is the start of a 3/4 length sleeve that will be carried on most likely by Seven Sins in Horley or a studio in Chelmsford, both have artists that do fantastic traditional work.

Something I have wanted for a long time and Vegas just seemed to be the right place to start it off. There will be one more sugar skull at the top of my arm eventually, and as Em and I plan on going to Vegas again in 2012 I would like the same guy (if possible) to do that and finish it off.

Ok a few shots from today. Don't think I have ever shot an airshow with such changeable sky as today. One minute blue sky then the next black as the ace of spades, straight from camera as not got time to mess with them as got to go out and play a concert now. Will try and post some more later if they are any good :)

This is my effort for today I've been out with the welding glass again I know the composition is not great as I change the focal length a bit to much once the glass like the numpty I am. Anyway the main thing is does the processing work?

Cheers Lee, I did want the martello tower over to the right a bit more then decided on a bit more sky and by the time I could check it it had started to rain so the dog and myself beat a hasty retreat home.
