LOL! That sounds about right. Before I head off again for the evening. Some test photos from the day

Now that is one promising bit of kit ~ certainly seems that imposes a new eye & discipline to togging!

Well, Vegas seemed like the place to get this done finally...

Excuse the glare, Em was taking the photos.
QUOTED IMAGE

Ink'd by a very talented young artist at Starlight King Ink (Mario Barths studio).
It definately will not be to most peoples tastes, it is a Mexican Day of the Dead Sugar Skull, very traditional style of tattoo and custom designed by the artist. It is nice because I know it is unique and no one else anywhere in the world will have this same design.
It is the start of a 3/4 length sleeve that will be carried on most likely by Seven Sins in Horley or a studio in Chelmsford, both have artists that do fantastic traditional work.

Something I have wanted for a long time and Vegas just seemed to be the right place to start it off. There will be one more sugar skull at the top of my arm eventually, and as Em and I plan on going to Vegas again in 2012 I would like the same guy (if possible) to do that and finish it off.

Not bad, not bad at all mate.

I have never seen the attraction of getting ink (I surmise some folk still fail to realise it is like buying a dog ~ not just for Xmas but for life ;) )but that is one heck of a bit of artwork, craftman at work!

Ok a few shots from today. Don't think I have ever shot an airshow with such changeable sky as today. One minute blue sky then the next black as the ace of spades, straight from camera as not got time to mess with them as got to go out and play a concert now. Will try and post some more later if they are any good :)

QUOTED IMAGE

Now this one has most promise for PPing, why? Because the rest of the team are in the background ~ just feel that makes the "totality" of the synchro pair better :D

Ronin Silv wrote in post #10390540 (external link)
This is my effort for today I've been out with the welding glass again I know the composition is not great as I change the focal length a bit to much once the glass like the numpty I am. Anyway the main thing is does the processing work?

Oddly ethereal, almost sinister ~ amazing what layer of almost opaque glass can do ~ well sorted there mate!

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Never seen drifting live, so pity to have missed the opp today though I would not have missed the weather by the sound of it  Nice capture but edge treatment/vignetting is not to my taste :( reminds me of light leakage affecting good old 35mm film

Flash Git! Grrrrrrrr!

I can see my domestic bliss being shattered again -

"Darling!"

"Now what?"

"Have you seen the new 70-200 f2.8L MkII?"

"What about my new Rolex?"

End of conversation.

Sorry, you are in the thread that makes people spend, it seems :)

Thank you Lee :) We are planning on a return trip already, maybe 4 days in Vegas, a night at the Grand Canyon National Park and then a few days in San Francisco. Vegas is like my Mecca :D

Cheers, I think that the polarizer added a extra something to it as the sky didn't have the green tinge you get without it.
