Rich, a cracking set but what else should we expect Great that Shane was happy to pose with the lads

Remind me were you there "officially" because you do seem to have access

Thanks.

I was just there as a spectator, Lydden is one of the last wide open circuits, great for togging.

The only advantage to getting trackside is getting into the middle, and lower, which I did grumble about at some point.

I guess I must conduct myself in a certain manner, because people were stepping aside to allow me to get the shot I wanted. That and I wasn't bothered about asking if I could just jump in front for a quick photo.

When I also mentioned Quinn Martin who made The Invaders and the more well know The Fugitive he also stared at me blankly.

Didn't it come out some time later that Quinn Martin was a paid government employee of the FBI ~ bearing in mid that all those progs were post McCarthy and thinking about that era all those progs (possibly) had an Anti Soviet sub message and a positively jingoistic USA message???

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Ah, all of that and possibly the Alpine Star vest and the "Swaffs" stickers on the kit ;)

Mayve,
I was incognito yesterday, jeans T-Shirt and no lens hoods. lol
Although a 400 F/2.8 even without a hood demands a certain respect..

Oh..
I have some more pics to share.
There was a guy there recordong video on a 5DII, but he had this strange contraption with seperate focus controller etc.

I grabbed a few snaps of it in action.

I don't know about him being in the FBI but all US programmes of that time were very jingoistic and anti Soviet. Here's another blast from the past do you remember The Land of the Giants? The sfx in it were really laughable by today's standards.
