Don't start me off on the 60's TV - days when TV was actually worth watching (Don't watch it these days, even tho' I have a 37" widescreen HD thing - just so HID can watch the soaps).
Fireball XL5 - terrific at the time, as was Stingray.
Particularly liked "The secret service" with Stanley Unwin - now there is the quintessential English eccentric for you - deep joy & rapture!!

Right, back over the border to 'ampshire before the revenue men discover me 'ere (didn't bring my passport isn't it).

Now thats my language. Used to love Stingray, and Thunderbirds :)

Great Drifting Rich!

Cracking light tunnel Kay!

Superb Set Courier!

Well another event over, spent all weekend covering Surrey Youth Games. Shot everything from Boccia, Badminton, judo, netball, hockey, squash, football, rugby, swimming and cricket!

Now to sort out pics to send to who I was shooting for. Did this last year and was good to see all my pics in this years programme and on the big screens.

Knackered and wind burnt but just read about the French footy team lol!

Great shots, I haven't got round to having too much of a look at mine yet but now feeling inadequate. Got a bit of a dicky belly yesterday which was either from the kebab I had Friday or the burger I had at Lydden. Meant I could not do the London to Brighton today, Kris dragged me out this morning and after an hour I had to throw in the towel and insist we go home and just slept for a few hours:(

At least I can be confident you don't have this one

Yes it was the Forbidden Planet, I'm a sucker for Gerry Anderson's stuff, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90 and his live action stuff UFO and Space 1999 though that did loose the plot slightly toward the end. And who can forget Terry Nation's best show after Doctor Who Blake's 7 a classic if ever there was one.

That was definitely a classic, I remember as a kid thinking it was really high tech, saw a clip from it recently and thought they must have had a really low budget !!

I need help with some text on my site.. I am wanting to get the pricing online for portraits etc but unsure if what I have written sounds ok?

Should I also give pricing on the print sizes or just have them on request?!

Here at Matt Peters Photography we aim to deliver the highest quality photography while still retaining value for money!

Our rates start from as little as £25, with a complimentary 8x10 print whether you choose to purchase more from us or not. though I think the end of this sentence is pointless, complimentary 8x10 print explains it all.

Our rates for portrait sessions are as follows:

£25 per hour at our studio
£40 per hour for a location session, this can be any where you feel most comfortable, be it at your own home, local park or any other location, we aim to meet your needs! possibly word this to limit number of locations and if they want multiple to include travel time between locations in your hour
For an extra £10 we can bring along various studio equipment to the session. (the backdrops are dependent on space!) is that a tenner just to bring a backdrop, may as well direct them to a studio shoot in that case, or is that to bring lights etc? personally if someone wanted me to shoot in their home I'd have my backpacker's studio with me at a minimum to make sure that the shots would be with decent light. I guess I'm nit picking on whether this part is pretty redundant.

If you are interested in prints our prices are as follows: I'd add prices myself
6x4
7x5
8x10
10x12
12x16

Larger prints or custom designs are available on request.

We also offer a hi-quality framing and printing service, pricing on request. Maybe give an indication with a prices starting from, to make them want to enquire.

Not only do we offer portrait photography we also cater for weddings and events..
Our wedding packages start at £495. A price is good but better with an indication of what sort of coverage they get at that price.
For more details please contact us so we can arrange a meeting to discuss your perticular requirements for your special day!

Sorry if that seems overly nit-picky there Matt. Personally I think you may be overly low-balling at the price per hour if you include processing time and ancillary costs. Though there's a local near me who does the studio shoot for nothing then only charges for prints, though her print costs are daftly expensive IMHO. I'd prefer to think I'd made my hourly rate when I look at time cost in shooting and processing before selling any prints in case after the session your client decides that they just wanted that one 6x4. But then I guess I'm classed as risk averse.

I agree - I charge a flat fee of £45 for a family portrait shoot which includes a print. Your talented enough to be charging more than that!

Thats all good info mate, every bit helps..

I think I'll change the home session to £50 and include the backdrop so long as they can accommodate it?!

I agree with the wedding bit so will add to the info and also the framing and canvas, need to check a basic price I guess then thatcan be the starting point! :)

Personally I'd go for a smaller discount on them using the studio. Remember all you are saving then is your petrol money. I'd probably also set a distance after which you charge for travel.

I like these ones epecially :D What camera on these? The NEX-5 ???

Edit ~ and where was the meet???

Yes, Scott has purchased my 1D mkII so few Canon bits for sale now and that is really it from me for now. Unless Canon make something but I can't see myself switching any time soon again. Lot of the guys who were at the meet could not beleive the results either when I posted them. Still thought it was with my mkII

This was at an industrial estate in Ashford, Middlesex. Pretty much just after the airport.

Well technially yes but that drew in the most attention. With the fundraiser meets, no one really tends to kick Datsun owners out with fly rides like that. Everyone is tolerated providing you behave. :)

My pricing plan was £50 for studio and £60 for location within 15miles then add on say 25p per mile after that. It's how most businesses pay per mile though I think the standard there is 40p per mile but unless your car gives 3MPG 40p per mile is mad. 25 could be seen as steep but it makes it an easy number to work with.
