Have you seen those electric fly swatters? I saw this and it reminded me of the swatter i saw round a friends today. I know i probably shouldn't enjoy blowing fly's to kingdom come, but it was fun...

The ones that are like tennis rackets? They were awesome.. :D

=Matt 'Photog' Peters;10396396]Thanks for that, see it is all these bits I get stuck on!

I will re-word the text so I am speaking of my self..

In that case:-
My aim is to provide the best value photography service delivering photographic memories of the highest quality that you will treasure for many years to come.

Edit ~ just thought that if you need MPP in the first line (it depends on whether this page is for both web & print ~ for web well, they know they are at MPP but in print [a flyer?] you would I surmise have a bigger MPP header on it?) it can be "non" singular or third party perhaps like this....not 100% sure for now for the reasoning in the brackets. Though it clearly leaves the "you" !
At Matt Peters Photography the aim is to provide the best value photography service delivering photographic memories of the highest quality that you will treasure for many years to come.

As you look through the whole message consider the:-

"you" want/expect ; "we" can agree on how to give you that ; "I" will make it happen

Relying on memory ~ your line about the backdrop? I wonder if in as short a sentence as possible you can say that an initial consultation at the home to decide on & discuss the chosen location will be done and if the home is "the location" that you have a backdrop available should space and their preference allow (Note ~ if ceiling height is the restriction maybe [guys what do you think?] you should simply say minimum room height for its use???)

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

I don't think the wording will be used on flyers, but how else do I start it? Hmmm..

Maybe for the backdrop I could make another small not at te bottom so I don't fill the text with too much waffling!!

Do you need to mention the backdrop? You could just bring it up when actually chatting to the client about their needs.. ;)

If this a page on the website then I stick with my initial thoughts i.e. My aim is....etc

Afteral the potential client is already at the MPP site and has read the other pages where 1st person wording has been used as needed.

As for the back drop ~ hmmmm! based the principle that the client cares little how the process works, I come back to my thought that during the consultation whether the room has enough height/space to use it will dictate if you need to mention it and then based on what "they" are guiding you as to what "they" want you could suggest its possible use??? Yes, leave mention off of the page ;)

Ok, it's gone.. lol

Now for the home page text, I don't think it is welcoming enough now I know my target audience and doesnt really say much about me as a person either..

This is how it currently reads:

Welcome to Matt Peters Photography.

With my natural approach to photography and ability to capture the moment, no two pictures are ever the same.

Working from 1-1 portrait shoots of you, your family & children to large scale events, we can work with you to tailor a package to suit the occasion.

If you have a particular picture you can imagine but just cannot find it, why not Contact Me to book that first meeting and together we can turn your imagination into that desired image?

Living in the heart of Berkshire gives me the ability to travel to any location required.

Ref forgetting things in a consultation/selling situation. Take notes if it helps and make use of summarising at each appropriate point e.g. if they say yes we want the session in our home (lounge/conservatory etc) you can logically say if they wish the backdrop to be used you will have to measure the room, it can be done then & there and will ensure they know you will bring it & you know it will fit. Afterall they may want some with the backdrop and others with them sitting at the piano ;)

Note making & summarising are important tools in selling as it helps you mentally tick off what has been discussed and the client to understand what they have agreed to & about!

HTH :)

Edit ~ nearly my shuteye time as well, I have a crust :( to earn tomorrow :)
